Coach Herber takes over as head coach of the Kohawks after spending the past six seasons as the jumps, hurdles and multi-events coach at Coe.

Herber attended the University of Northern Iowa where he competed as a high jumper. He was a three-time national qualifier and a four-time all-conference performer for the Panthers.

Herber holds a master of sports science degree from the United States Sports Academy and is USA Track and Field certifield level one and level two in sprints, hurdles and relays.

Pete, his wife, Dawn, and daughter, Ellie, reside in Cedar Rapids.
